Welcome To Community Changers Ministries
The ministry has started operating from November 2000, by Pastor Elliot and Mrs Kholiwe Mtshweni. This young couple was moved by compassion after realizing that there are young and old people in the dumping area just outside Zithobeni who spend their time waiting for people to come and dump waste food in order for them to feed their families. They then took an initiative to prepare meals every Sunday to feed these needy families out of their pockets.
The Community Changers Ministry’s mission is to advance communities towards sustainable livelihood, and community development, to address the Spiritual Wellbeing, Gender Based Violence among women and children and socio economic issues in the community of Zithobeni in cooperation with other Civil Society Organization and relevant government departments. The Ministry is situated in Zithobeni and was established in November 2000.

Faith Statement
- We believe in the trinity, GOD the FATHER the SON and GOD the HOLY SPIRIT.
- We believe Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary and that He died on the cross for the sins of the world. He died and rose again on the third day and ascended to heaven. He is now seated on the right hand of the God the Father.
- We believe in the resurrection of the dead.
- We believe Christ is the only way to the Father.
- We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is the very word of God. We believe the bible is the first and final authority in deciding on a matter.
- We believe God has placed the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher in the church today. These ministries are required to equip the saints for ministry and that full maturity of the saints only can be realised once the fivefold ministers become fully functional in the church.
- We believe that God still heals supernaturally today.
- We also believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues (heavenly language)
Church Programmes
- Kholiwe Sewing Project – was handed over to the community and is supported by Department of Social Development to provide school uniform for quartile 1 schools in Tshwane.
- Counselling session that are running from Tuesday to Friday.
- Academic programme: First year University registration for best performers (especially whose parents are unable).
- Food parcels for needy families once a month or as and when the need is realized or during our outreach programs.
- Bright Minds Educational Foundation: After schools study programme- currently helping kids with school work.
- Spiritual support for abused women.
- Sharing meals with the community every Sunday.
- Women’s Conference once a year: its purpose is to train people on discipline and taking of responsibility.
- Ladies breakfast once a year- Experienced old and young women sharing skills on how to run household matters.
- Youth conference addressing life skills and career issues once a year.
- Makoti and Mamazala once a year- addressing marriage issues affecting Brides and their in laws.
